Children's Ministry
To provide the children of Christ the King Anglican Church with Christ centered worship, education and activities in order that God may become known, worshipped and obeyed, and that each child may grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Baby & Toddler Nurseries We have Good News for God’s littlest ones! On Sundays, we provide a baby and toddler nursery from When you bring your child to our nursery, you will be assigned a beeper during the time your little one is in our care. If you are needed, we will page you. Our Nursery provides an important bridge between the church and your home. Our vision is to bring the Bible to life for babies and toddlers through a program titled, “Little Blessings” by Gospel Light. This is a great way to introduce little ones to God’s Word as they take their first steps in God’s kingdom. We thank you for the privilege to become a part of your child’s life! Wednesday Night Programs P.D.K’s & Grapple Wednesday evenings are pretty exciting here at Christ the King. Here's the schedule through Purpose Driven Kids for K5 thru Gr 4 Kids in Discipleship driven to share, play, study and discover how God works in the everyday lives of our kids through Scripture study, Bible stories and memorization, art and music, games, discussions and lots of laughter and love. Grapple A pre-teen evening for 5th & 6th grade guys and gals. Our preteens need more than the same repeated Bible lessons; they need Bible depth. Grapple is specifically designed to get preteens grappling with tough questions in meaningful ways so they understand and own their faith. Grapple gets kids into the Bible - like no other curriculum can! Preteens love technology and choices and Grapple delivers both. They get thought provoking lessons plus a safe and secure website. Grapple is the only preteen curriculum that offers an online community during the week! They will dig into the Bible to grapple with faith and life issues. Each topic is approved by a preteen panel, so they will stay relevant, week after week. Jr. Kid's Church & Children's Church Our children's services begin at Jr. Kid's Church for preschoolers, age 3-5, is a special service designed just for them with Bible stories and puppets, music and prayer, snacks, crafts and games all focused to give these children an understanding of God’s love for them. Children's Church is designed for children ages 6-11. These children share in God's Word through reading the Bible, offering their petitions and joyful singing unto the Lord with guitar accompaniment! Don’s children’s sermon and then join their families for the remainder of the service. Children's Sunday School Please check out the scope and sequence for your child’s group: Gospel Light.com Sunday School Curriculum Content Scope and Sequence (on right) We use Gospel Light, which is designed to reach kids right where they are. Children will go through the Bible four times by the time they complete Grade 6. That's why all our teaching resources are solidly based on God's Word. This is done through hands-on activities that engage their intense curiosity and openness to learning new things plus a dedicated team of volunteers who love Our Lord and your children! Children learn biblical truths and how to apply them in their young lives. Music, games, art projects, skits and other fun activities draw children to God and His love!
K4 and K5What could be more important, and more exciting, than teaching little children about God? Nothing! Goals for this age group:
Respond by demonstrating love for God through kindness, helpfulness and thankfulness; by talking to God in prayer Grades 1 and 2Prime Time is packed with activities that spotlight the emerging reading skills and enthusiasm for learning of kids ages 6 to 8. Bible stories focus on Jesus' teachings, parables, and resurrection taken from passages in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts. The goals for this age group include:
AN EXCITING PLACE TO DISCOVER! for Grades 3 and 4 Children in this age group are exploring the truth and finding it in God’s Word. Goals for this age group:
Through biblical study these 8- to 10-year-olds are discovering that their solid foundation for life will come from Our Lord. This curriculum recognizes their love for crazy fun and their readiness to know what real life and real faith is like. For Grades 5 and 6
