Newcommers CommissionNEWCOMERS Commission Chair: Allison Metcalf NEWCOMER OVERVIEW Ministry Description: The Newcomers ministry is to introduce visitors and new members to Christ the King. The ministry is responsible for preparing the visitor’s welcome bag which is distributed to visitors during each service. One primary role of this ministry is to schedule and help with a Newcomer’s Class at lease twice a year to introduce new families to the church and the opportunities that are available for service within the church. COFFEE HOUR HOST Ministry Description: The Newcomers ministry is to introduce visitors and new members to Christ the King. As a Coffee Hour Host, you would prepare the coffee and put out the donuts for the coffee hour after the 8:50 am service. SUNDAY GREETERS Ministry Description: Greeters welcome everyone at the beginning of each service, at the main entrance to the church. The Greeter also invites the newcomer to the parish hall (patio area, etc.) following the service for coffee and fellowship. Greeter Coordinator: Kenneth Horne |
