WORSHIP
Commission Chair: Peg Wallace
ACOLYTES
Ministry Description: Acolytes assist bishops, priests, deacons and lay people in order that the Holy Eucharist and other rites of the church can be celebrated with simple dignity, permitting all to participate in the service.

ALTAR GUILD
Ministry Description: The purpose of the Altar Guild is to support and assist the rector and other clergy in assuring all services of the church are conducted in proper order and beauty for the worship of God and his Son, Jesus Christ. The Altar Guild prepares everything that is necessary for the Holy Eucharist or any of the sacraments. This is a very essential and exacting ministry; the worship services could not function smoothly without the dedicated volunteers of this ministry.

LAYREADER/EUCHARISTIC MINISTER
Ministry Description: Reading Scripture at services. The Eucharistic Minister will read the prayers of the people as well as be chalice minister during services. Some ministers will also serve communion to shut-ins.

MUSIC MINISTRY
Ministry Description: Involves men, women and youth interested in helping with many aspects of Christ the King’s diverse music ministry. Be it choirs or praise bands, this ministry is responsible for leading worship at most all services and event.

SUBDEACON
Ministry Description: The subdeacon will assist the deacon during the gospel reading and assist at the Eucharist. Some ministers will also serve communion to shut-ins.

USHERS
Ministry Description: The ushers, along with the Greeters, are the first impression that visitors get of Christ the King.

WEDDING COMMITTEE
Ministry Description: The purpose of the wedding committee is to encourage a spiritual atmosphere for weddings. Committee members represent Christ the King, extend the hospitality of the parish, and wherever possible, help the wedding party and the clergy.
